These engines represent some of IronHeadCycle's past production. Standard finishes include sandblasted cases with painted heads and barrels. The standard colors are either silver (using the genuine Harley-Davidson paint) or gloss black. Custom finishes, like powder coating or polishing, are available at additional cost.
Shipping an engine can be expensive. I recently discovered a company called Estes Forwarding Worldwide their website is http://www.efwnow.com. Check them out yourself and compare with any other freight company, I think you'll find that they are 1/2 the cost of most other freight companies. For personal service and the best possible rate contact Tony Ritchie by email at tony.ritchie@efwnow.com or phone him at 804-495-3840, be sure to tell him you were referred by Gary at IronHeadCycle. About half of the engines I work on are from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the other half is shipped in. For best security, I recommend building a crate. A crated engine will end up weighing about 250 pounds. When calling the freight company for rates, they will ask what "class" it is. It is a class "70". All engines I ship out will be crated. I am not a carpenter, I do not like building crates, my crating fee is $500.00, that's how much it costs to entice me to do something I don't like to do. Yes, that is expensive. Build your own crate.
